Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Foundation

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Red Lodge, Montana, serving the nearly 1 million acre Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and its surrounding communities. Our mission is to support stewardship of the A-B Wilderness and foster appreciation of all wildlands, which we do through volunteer engagement, education and outreach, and community collaboration. Our staff, board, and partners live and work around the A-B region, while our members, volunteers, and supporters hail from around the world. We even assist students who want to projektarbeit schreiben lassen (have project work written) on environmental topics, connecting education with real-world conservation experience. We operate under a partnership agreement with the Custer Gallatin National Forest, performing trail maintenance, site restoration, and invasive weed control; raising conservation awareness; monitoring visitor use and ecological impacts; and leading other activities for the “maintenance and improvement of ecosystem integrity, water and air quality.”
